Properly Dosing CBD Oil

Properly Dosing CBD Oil

When it comes to using CBD Oil, one of the most important things to keep in mind is how to dose it properly. Because CBD is still relatively new and not regulated by the FDA, there is no official recommended dosage. However, there are a few general guidelines that can help you determine how much CBD to take. The first thing to consider is why you're taking CBD. Are you using it for general wellness or for a specific condition? The severity of your condition will play a role in how much CBD you need to take. Additionally, your body weight and metabolism will also affect how much CBD you should take. A rule of thumb is to start with a lower dose and increase as needed. You can also talk to your doctor or a qualified CBD practitioner to get specific advice on how to dose your CBD.

At Aviator Farms we want to help you to navigate natural wellness and get your endocannabinoid system working to its fullest.  So, we suggest using our Dosing Calculator at the bottom of each of our products to help you determine a general amount to use.   This calculator has been verified and looked over by many professionals to be a good dosing amount.  This gives peace of mind to make sure you will be getting a dose that will help with the reason you are taking CBD.  You will always have a little trial and error when it comes to getting your exact dose.  Our CBD oils come in two different strengths, they are 1000mg and 3000mg.  Depending on the amount you need a lot of times it is better to use the higher strength as you won’t have to take as much at a time.  I personally like to take half my dose in the morning and then the other half in the evening.  Below are a few factors that you must enter in the calculator to help find your dose.

The ideal dose of CBD for you depends on a variety of factors, including:

  1. Your size and weight
  2. The severity of the condition you’re treating
  3. Your tolerance to CBD
  4. Your individual body chemistry
  5. The mg potency of the CBD oil.

As we have seen, people of the same size/weight and condition have to take different amounts for the same result.  We recommend on first time basis to use the mild to medium severity then move up or down from there.

Our Spa line is Maxx strength topical products, and they each have 2000mg of CBD per jar or bottle. These topicals are great for muscle and joint issues and have great results in localized areas.  If you are looking for overall body wellness, use the oils on an everyday basis and then use the lotions, Farmers’ Salve or Keep Rollin’ Roll-on for flair up problem areas.  Use these products as often as you would like, with no worry of ever over doing any of them.

Delta 8 and Delta 9 is a little different, so we tell everyone to start small and work up.  You can always add to it if you don’t get that elevated feeling you would like with the first dose.  Do remember that these products do take about 30-45 mins before effects are felt and you should always wait at least an hour before adding any more.  Please don’t drive or operate equipment while dosing Delta 8 and Delta 9 products.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any question that you might have on any of our products.
