WHO WE ARE

Tenacity is Our Family Heritage

Often you’d see her barrel rolling over the fields, amusing neighboring farmers and befuddling the grazing cows below. And as the Eastern Seaboard’s youngest pilot, Rebecca Vernon became lovingly known as “The Pea Patch Pilot” in this part of North Carolina.
Though her love for the sky and sun led her to aero acrobatics, harnessing the wind to soar above the clouds is our family legacy. The Pea Patch Pilot was raised with a passion for sky and tenacity for the daring, on the family farm of her military airman father. Paired with the deep respect of nature from her Montana-born mother, The Pea Patch Pilot grew up with a love of the earth, sky, and all the creatures in between. These values stayed with her throughout life, leading her to a life-long pursuit of helping people and animals feel better, from earning a doctorate in the Audiology field to sitting on the board of a therapy dog organization.‍

OUR HISTORY

Five Generations of Farming

Once it was The Pea Patch Pilot’s turn to steward this land with her own family, this passion in using nature to help others live better became a focus that our farm navigates by. With the expertise of her son-in-law, Scott, and his own local heritage in farming expertise, we set out to establish a farm that’s healthful to people, plants, animals, and earth. Organic practices replaced traditional methods to help protect our nutrient-rich North Carolina soil, and crops like tobacco were swapped for healthy vegetables like tomatoes.

However, our family knew we could do more to help others feel better, so we welcomed some new ladies into the family — hemp plants. With a farmer’s stubbornness for perfection, our hemp plants are cared for by hand, one by one, to make sure they’re grown and harvested with precision.

NATURE + SCIENCE

Our Growing Legacy For Higher Quality

We treat our hemp plants and their bounty as lovingly as our own growing family. While classic rock plays in the distance, our hemp plants flourish under the sun alongside The Pea Patch Pilot’s grandchildren. Our soil is regularly lab tested for heavy metals and other toxins to make sure the earth is always just right, while lab testing of our products ensures a consistency and quality that can be relied on. ‍When our hemp oil became known as ‘Liquid Sunshine’ to locals thanks to its sunny golden hue and silky consistency, we knew we had a quality worthy of five generations.‍ Today, farm-life may be a little more down-to-earth, but we’re still just as fearless as the Pea Patch Pilot’s in-air acrobatics.

OLD NORTH

Proudly Produced in North Carolina

When it’s time for them to leave home, our crops don’t travel far. All our products go from seed to soul without traveling any further than 100 miles from our family farm. This is so we can make sure every step is handled with care. Now our sights are on one lofty goal: to craft the best quality hemp extract products that our North Carolina land and air, our sun and soil, has to offer. We’re proud to harvest the vitality of nature and share it with you and the living creatures in your family, from people to pets.
